Will the surgery be anterior or posterior? The folks who have had it done anterior really liked it because of the fast recovery time. The posterior way has a slightly better chance of fewer problems but the recovery period is much longer. You have probably heard all this before. Marilyn had one replaced posterior a couple of years ago and it's good as new now. The other one has a big old spur and she is walking around with a cane. She just got an appt with the hip doc for Aug 3. She goes on Medicare Aug 1 and has been anxiously waiting for that Aug 1 date since last Feb when the X-ray showed the spur.
