today I looked at a 285 diesel to consider purchase.
though I realize this is not a new tractor, a couple of things I would like to run past someone.
engine started and sounded fine
lift lifted set of disk seemed fine
pto turned but no way to test strength
concerns
1 around pto shaft was dry but there was 1/4 to 1/2" play
in and out (pushing by hand) I don't know if this is ok
2 there was a lot of water in the fluid that is checked under the seat on right side. (white and creamy) tractor is setting out in the weather. I know water does not belong, but don't know where it might have gotten in,
