Always put the new on the front. A large difference in diameter will increase the wear and tear on the drive-line and tires but it isnt the end of the world. The reality is that the working diameter of the tire (which is calculated from the center of the axle to the ground) changes with the loading thus even when all four tires are new the fronts get smaller and the rears get bigger when you put a load in the bucket. Bottom line is keeping them close to the same is good but two different sizes isnt going to kill the machine.
