I know it a little off topic but figured someone might know the answer. I have a 1976 JD 310 A Backhoe that has a hydraulic leak in the power steering cylinder mounted beside the front left tire. I plan to rebuild the cylinder. The problem I am having is removing the inside Pin on the cylinder so I can remove the cylinder from the tractor. I have pushed the pin down as far as I can and it is not far enough to get the cylinder off. Second problem will be getting the pin back in when the repair is done as I cannot see or find where the pin drops out. Outside pin near tire was easy and dropped right out. What am I missing. Cannot beleave this pin is so hard to remove, looks to just as hart to put back in assuming I can get out. Its not hard to push out, it hard to get to and I cannot see, or feel where the pin will drop.
