My dad pasted away 40 years ago last month. He loved to coon hunt and while him and a couple of his friends where out hunting the dogs had treed, His friends said they where shining lights in the tree looking for the coon and seen dads light shining straight up in the sky, they went over to check on him and he was gone. If he had seen the coon before he pasted it couldn't have been any better, he was 54.
Last October my brother was over talking about the cattle, we where going over the book looking at birth dates deciding what heifers to keep and which cows needed to be replaced, he loved working with and talking about cattle. He left my house and went home, 5:00 the next morning my sister in law called saying her couldn't wake him up, he had pasted away sometime during the night in his sleep, he was 55.
I miss them both.
Mom will be 86 next month and still outworks me, with my 61st birthday coming up in a few months I'm hoping I take after her.
