Ahhh now it sounds almost like some cheepo brand. At work we use Food grade mineral oil in a lot of the equipment. Comes from Hobart and is like $90.oo per gallon for the air powered pumps in the kitchens. Also use food grade grease and food grade Hydraulic oils. The hydraulic oil stuff is $400.oo per 5 gallon bucket. That is why I asked the question guessing he might not know the difference in oils. Why would they use mineral oil in such a system where there are so many other types of stuff that work as well or better? Only thing is food systems or a contamination problem. What else?
