Hey everyone,
i recently got a 1955 John Deere 60, and I replaced the manifold because of a major crack in the old one. It came with two metal gaskets. One side of the gasket is perforated and the other is smooth. The manual says to install smooth side towards the exhaust end which i did and it also says apply shellac which I did not. Any opinions on that? Also any opinion on why oil is spraying out? I was suggested that it may be due to a cracked or warped head but I have good and equal compression on both sides and it is only leaking on the right side. I have two pictures and you can see oil coming out in two different spots. Thanks for the help.[/img]
