Changed my shop lighting from incandescent bulbs to led's, went from 1450 (90w) lumens to 2200 per fixture...it does make a difference.
Had wanted to upgrade to about 150w equivalent LED's, but the price was prohibitive.
Rural King sent me an ad for 75w equivalents Philips thin line bulbs...if you order more than 12 boxes, it's $2.99/box... spent $123.66 with tax and shipping for 68 bulbs (bought 4 extra), and another $43.12 for 32 adapters (from ebay), so wound up spending a little over $5 per fixture.
That's cheap enough. Thinking about getting more for the barns.
I don't work for RK, but throwing it out there if somebody else was thinking about doing this.
Only downside I can see so far is radio noise. Got a buzzing noise, might finally be time for an outside antenna with a shielded cable so I get more that 1 station anyway.
Front half of the shop has the new lamps, hard to see from the pics, but it do make a difference.
