Been working on my 68 JD 140 H1 again as I had a little time today. I opened the valve cover up and adjusted those to the specs in the manual. The exhaust was way out of adjustment. Probably close to .050 or so. Intake was out a little as well, but not nearly as far out.
I dumped the gas through the installed inline filter and had good flow, but I put a new on on again anyway. It's the same filter I use on the craftsman that's also gravity flow so I don't think that should give any issues.
I need to double check where I have the carb set, but I got it to start for a little bit then it died out when I was moving the choke. Couldn't restart it, plug was fouled out. I plan to but a new plug when I'm on my way to work sometime this week. What's the original plug used in it? I couldn't find it in the book in my quick search today, and want to make sure I get the right one. I don't know if the one in it is right or not.
