I've got a 292 in a 1965 Chevy C60. Thing lugs around pretty good with 6 or 8000 lbs on it, but I have issues keeping it cool around here in the summer time. We have a lot of hills and such, and it would really do a lot better with a 2 speed rear end, or even a 5 speed transmission to give it a little bit smaller jumps. 4th gear is too quick for the hills loaded, and 3rd gear is like 5 miles per hour!!! :P
