Ha - my farm is exactly four miles south of Baldwin. Not many folks can say they have stopped in Vinland. Unless, of course, they were going north out of Baldwin and had to stop at the T in the road! I hay for a guy that trains high dollar horses just south of Vinland. That's my only connection to the thriving metropolis.
True story. My neighbor almost got in a fistfight one day over the Vinland Fair. Her dad had always called it "The World's Fair". She always believed him. You know where this is going. She was about to defend Vinland to the death until she learned that the fair held there is NOT, in fact, THE World's Fair. They have a tractor pull, for heaven's sake. No wonder she believed him.
