Went to use the old Super 90 Massey today and found the hyd-transmission dipstick missing. Tried sticking a piece of wire down the hole to see how high the oil was and could not. I found the stick had actually broken off about half inch down from the top and was still stuck in the hole. I got it out by removing the top access cover and pushing the broken piece up and out. I took my best guess and welded a stub of a spike onto the top of the dipstick. Slid a chunk of rubber up over the stick to make a sort of seal and it seems good to go. Crude and I don't really know for sure if I got the level right. I guess the only way is to drain and refill the hyd-trans oil with the recommended amount and then take a reading on the dipstick to see how close I got it.
