They are a lock nut if memory serves me right. I had the one on the other side off on my 6620 when I rebuilt the header clutch. I know I put a new one on when I reassembled it. Seems like I engaged the separator with the motor off and maybe used a bar to to keep it from turning then used a 3/4 drive socket with a cheater bar. I do remember it was very difficult to remove. Don't remember the torque but they need to be tight when you reinstall.
