Yes, I built it all myself from a set of drawings. I taught myself how to make patterns in wood, then a local foundry made the castings for me and I learned how to machine them. I am not a machinist, I worked for the phone company and am an expert with a ballpoint pen and desk! Made lots of parts twice, took me 11 years. The boiler was made by a professional, I am not a licensed welder, which I have to be to get insurance.
