I'm a die hard 99 to 07.5 fan. You'd probably have to give me a new body Chevy before I would drive it.
I'm looking for a truck that may get drove daily or not for weeks. It might pull a trailer once a month tops, or pull loaded gravity wagons. Moving equipment, wagons and the gooseneck is the primary reason for purchase. I'll likely never see the dollar difference in 11 to 16 MPG as it'll be a short trip truck mostly.
I have considered a duramax, but beside the high cost of repairs getting one would force me to sell my 1/2 ton daily driver and then it would be hard to use the d-max for farm use as I would be trying harder to keep it nice.
