Randy the difference is that just the corn price is down on the feed side. Bean meal and supplement is not down as much proportionally. Then you add in milk prices being back down after a short period of higher prices after another down market you have many smaller dairies really hurting financially. Also the age of many of the smaller dairy farmers is getting up to where they just do not have the fight in them anymore. Dairy farming is one of the hardest careers in the world. I admire those that have done it for decades.
I think you milked cows in as hard of times but you were younger then. Imagine trying it at your age now????
