A sale the size that you are talking Larry, around here it would be held at 6:30 pm on a Friday evening in May or June. These kind of sales are always well attended , because everyone knows the sale will be over by dark. So there is no fooling around.And you know when it will end. May and June are also ideal months to sell the sort of items you have listed. I would not want to make up a sale bill like that to auction my own farm equipment , way too much stuff .
