I built something like that, I took a 3 hp lawn mower engine and made a blower out of it, mounted it on the front of a trailer with a screen top. I had a 6 inch suction pipe connected to the mower deck on the tow tractor. It worked OK but was kind of big to get around our yard. When we bought the next tractor with a bagger on it I sold it. The new tractor with a bagger was more compatible with the wife, and she does most of the yard work.
