Kinda sounds like me when I was growing up...not athletic, but my parents always praised us on getting good grades.....and I could sure operate more farm equipment than any of my peers. Academics were not important in our school (everything was for the jocks), but I graduated at the top of my class and went on to college where academics won out over sports.
