My wife has had hearing aids for about years. She's on her second pair.
The only problem is, the feedback she gets through them causes her to speak more softly than normal. Then she yells at me and says I have a problem if I ask her to repeat herself. For the record, at her insistence, I had my hearing tested and found out it's still basically normal, no change in nine years since the last time I had it tested. She refuses to believe the results of the test.
