Reminded me of the time we were loading BIG rocks onto a platform on the back of a JD "M" for weight traction to push snow. Setting the rocks on with a backhoe. The rock rolled and like a fool I stuck my hand out to catch it ...So it didn't hurt the rock when it hit the framework I guess...Dumb move... anyway I jerked my hand out from where it was caught. Leather chopper mitt stayed behind pinched in place. Wool liner was SOAKED in blood. Went in the house and sat down BEFORE I pulled that liner off! Scared what I would find. Just squished the tips of two fingers enough they broke the skin. Didn't even lose a nail. Just lucky I guess.... Sure was scared though. The things kids (even me) did and do...
