I do quite a bit of trading on CL. Whether it be tractor parts, collecting free materials for deer stands, buying materials for our addition, getting rid of excess junk around here or whatever. About 90% of the transactions have been positive. I ran an ad in the barter section for a professional HVAC man to install a new heating system in our house and upsize it for the addition in exchange for me building him a new bathroom. Had a sharp, licensed fellow take me up on it and he did the work about 6 weeks ago. It passed inspection no problems. I am due to start his bathroom here in a couple of weeks. Like you said, where besides CL could you find a trade like that?
