Bedford-Stuyvesant is as bad as it gets in Brooklyn. I was on a new 7 story nursing home there in '96. One person got out of a car with a big ole revolver and started shooting, but missed his target as he disappeared in the Brevoort Houses (projects) across the street. This was between Atlantic avenue, and the cross streets of Rochester and Buffalo. The E.I.F.S. panels we were cladding this building with, had one one elevation with steel plating built into them on the lower elevations to deflect bullets. Our work had bullet holes in it after some weekends. Crazy place, though downtown Brooklyn is nice, I'll take the country any day over any of it. Spent 15 years working in the 5 boroughs.
