I haven't tried it but the white cross, red background or vise versa....forget, will bring help regardless. Ifyou want to chat or other non emergency you can call the operator and she (usually a she) will fix you up with a renewed contract....not your best deal of course. One thing nobody addresses is big brother watching, like the sound on your computer if left on, or the eyeball at the top of the screen not covered, or the new room things from Amazon and Google that talk to you......AND LISTEN......IN ON YOUR LIFE????????
