I spent several years of my life designing 7.2KV, 12.4KV and 34.5KV distribution lines in Houston TX. In fact I designed the first two 34.5KV distribution circuits that Houston Lighting & Power ever built. I have wired several houses and barns, but this is kicking my butt. Yes the 3300uf cap. was bad, and I hooked a 1200uf cap. in the circuit. This regulated the voltage, but too high, approx. 16.5 volts on the 12v setting. I know the correct cap. would probably help but I still can't figure out the solenoid, which I wired around. If you think it would help I could draw how this is wired
