I think I get it and like that idea. One of the things I make are impeller lift pumps. I use 12" pipe up to a 4' steel box frame with plywood sides. These pumps typically lift the water 6-8'. There is no pressure just volume used to fill ditches / reservoirs. We use 5-30 hp electric motors with a tripple sheave to reduce the vertical impeller speed to about 250 rpm. I've used various tensioning configurations to hang the motors... but this is a great idea and will use it the next one i build. Thanks for the idea. Grant
