Well I went to see a Neurosurgeon in St. Louis, Mo. at Washington Hospital today after I had my MRI early this morning. He diagnosed me 3 weeks ago as having Glossopharylgneal (Glosso-Fair-n-ja-neal) Neuralgia. It's severe pain around the ear, jaw, sinus, tongue & throat. My family Doctor thought I had Trigeminal Neuralgia but what I have is commonly misdiagnosed for Trigeminal Neuralgia. The neurosurgeon told me today that he does about 50 surgies a year for Trigeminal neuralgia but only about 2 for Glossopharyngneal. That's how rare it is. His experience he found it's best to cut the nerve for this neuralagia rather than pad it. When cut it leaves parts of your tongue and throat numb then. Which I alreay have with never having any surgery. It may come back if he pads it though. So it's a tough decision to cut or not to cut the nerve. I voted not to cut and to just insert the pad for now. He said he can always go back in and cut it if the pad does not work.
Hope none of you get it. It can feel like an ice pick is being forced in behind and under you ear and someone is trying to move it around. Horrible.

The soil is a rich dark brown and is well looked after. unlike some areas in the midlands it is also fairly flat, broken only by hedgerows and the occasional valley and brook. A copse of wildbreaking silver birch and oak trees surround the top si
