Update on stuck tractor , I took the seat and exterior access panels to the shifter off to determine how things are supposed to work. Then I jacked up the rear tires and spun them and tapped and pull and pried gently on the lower inner shifter arm ,which looked low and not lining up with the key way , and it popped up and VICTORY!!! Took it for two test drives last night and checked for leaks after reassembly , reverse /hi/low all work great now . Thanks for all the great ideas folks , what incredible wealth of knowledge to be had here on this great site !!!
And I did paint it the pry point and the fork that was not lining up with the key way on the top with rustolium yellow paint so it's easy to see in 10 years when I have to do it again. ;) Haha .
