Just bought the wife an older Dell Optiplex on eBay that came with Windows 7, 250gig HDD, 4 gig RAM, and 3.0GHz processor. Is being used primarily for watching TV from Netflix and Amazon, as well as YouTube. Only paid $70 for the thing, plus another $20 for wireless keyboard. So far she likes it. Has spent most of the day looking up fabric on there. ....Maybe I shoulda thought about that a bit more first! :-P
Fan is really loud while it's booting up, but then we never hear it again - not when streaming videos or surfing online. Will soon be switching the PC's over to Linux though, as I simply do not like where Windows is heading!! Still have time though, as support for Windows 7 will continue until 2020.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
