My favorite I only drove it for 1 year. 1978 Lincoln Mk V. Dad bought one for us to drive in high school - found it for $1000 at a police auction - he went there to buy am old Gran Torino and came home with the Lincoln. It was 6 years old, stripped of emission with a 460 4V carb. Black with a red leather interior. The previous owner (drug runner?) had ported the heads and actually installed some kind of headers on it (Custom built?) along with a Carter quadrajet. Older brother took it to college with him where it was stolen and reappeared a month later in a corn field 300 miles away - after the thief attempted to burn it. Put a burning rag in the gas tank - apparently he ran it out of gas first and only succeeded in burning the vinyl top off. Insurance company owned it at that point.

I soon found that it would be very useful to have a tractor around the place for things such as grading our long drive and brush-hogging the fields. I was also embarking on planting 1000 eucalyptus trees, and hence I would need a ripper, small disk plow, sprayer etc. to get these things accompli
