Well heres my take on this If you do not have the set up gauge/fixture then BUILD ONE if you are doing a lot of them , myself i have not had to work on small frame tractors but if i did i would have the tools to do the job just like i have the factory tools to work on tractors up to the 88 . makes life somuch easier when ya have the tools for the job your doing . I do not have the tools and equipment to do injection pumps so they go to a person that has the tools and equipment . Can i do then yep , can i do machine work on engines here again yep but i do not have all the fancy toys so that gets farmed out , same goes for starters and generators and alt. You might even find a dealer close that would order the set up fixture for you , no it will not be cheap , There is a guy about forty or fifty miles east of me that does a lot of Deere work and he bought his own set up fixture from mother Deere thru a Deere dealer . Set him back over a grand , but he has the tooling to do the job . And really there is NO GUESTAMATION it is either done right or it is wrong. IMHO>
