Yes, my point exactly! I actually don't want to reply to ads for "calls only". Reason is, our phone never rings. We have no bill collectors calling, no telemarketers, nothing. So why would I want to just open up and give such a rare phone number out to every nut job out there that might be simply collecting contact info? At least I have options using email - called the 'Delete Button'.
I called on a truck a while back. Ad said the truck was in a nearby town, about an hour away. At that time was very muddy roads. He would have had a sale if he would have simply answered one tiny little question - I needed to know what the gear ratio was, which is listed inside the glove box. Funny, the ad is still up and has been renewed!
