We are fortunate in that our property taxes are really low, so low that many people would not believe it, but on the other hand, our ground won't produce 300 bushel corn either. I know older guys who spend literally nothing on fertilizer, lime, feed or hay because they have so much land that there is plenty of grass even in dry years.
