I wanted to thank those who responded to my earlier post(6 pages back already).I haven't had time to respond til now so I started a new post.To answer how did I know the pressure plate fingers were too low is because we installed them and could not get the free play adjusted before running out of linkage.If anything you should usually shorten linkage when installing a new clutch because it should have been adjusted a few times over its life.As a clutch wears,it losses free play,so usually the linkage gets shortened.With these remans,we are starting with not enough linkage,so therefore the pressure plate fingers were too low.We had to reassemble a few extra times until we got the correct free play.So if we had the tool to set finger height,or the dimensions,we would have one made.And would save time!We have been using several different brands,and had the same issue with all of them.
