You have to thank Al Gore for inventing the internet. Neighbor went to Honda dealer for a part for a 4 wheeler he bought from a person that called it a salvage ATV, no title, mistake. It was cobbled together with parts form other ATV's.
Neighbor needed a starter cover gasket. He didn't know the year or engine model. Dealer said parts no longer available.
Last night I googled pics for Honda 4 trax and quickly determined it was made in 1986-87 TRX 250. Then I did an advanced search on ebay for starter cover gasket and there it was. Under $9 shipping and handling. I should get it by Monday.
You got to thank Al for inventing the internet. I found a gasket Honda no longer has. It Saved me from making a gasket too. Neighbor is 78 and afraid of touching a computer.
I'm surprised how many people are like my neighbor, living in the good old days.
