Missouri Tim; Maybe you (or anyone else, please) can help me. I just purchased a IH tractor. At first I thought it was a Cub, the owner told me it was a IH Farmall Cub Cadet. After I finally located the ID plate under the seat on the left side support and cleaned it with paint remover, I got "Model FAA Serial No. 262797 Made in USA By International Harvester Co. Chicago, Illinois 1540 RPM Max Idle Speed Do Not Overload". The engine hood has 4 holes in it and looking thru pics on the net 3 of these 4 holes where used for exhaust stack, carb breather, valve cover breather and I don't know what the 4th was used for but that 4-hole configuration matches a Super A. Maybe someone replaced the A hood with a Super A, thus no component in the 4th hole! Checking www.wcvt.com/ I located s/n listings and according to that the "FAA" s/n prefix is a Farmall A. Can you help me decide? Thinking it was a Cub I was able to purchase a Cub 54A belly-blade leveler-grader and the tractor came with a rear blade. Thanks
