Easiest traveling and best services will be along I-80 for sure. 2 recomended stops would be for the worlds best steak you can stop on the east side of Wyoming, a few miles east of Cheyenne, there is a Sapp Brothers truck stop on the north side of I-80. On the east side of the truck stop there is a bar/supper club that will serve you the best $20.00 steak in the country in my estimation. They are not part of the truckstop, just next door. Well worth the stop. The truckstop restaraunt is not worth stopping at. Also just before you get into Chicago on I-80 at the 112 exit there is a TA truckstop that has a great restaraunt, make sure you save room for desert as the goodies counter is 20' long and full of bad for you stuff.
If you want more scenery and interesting places to stop I-90 has more of that across South Dakota. There is the black hills, corn palace, car museum amoung other things to see there. Getting rooms can be dicey along there tho, especially after Memorial day unless you have a reservation.
