Thing of it is that pay doesn't go nearly as far as most people think. Couple of years ago the CEO of Wal Mart made 18 million between pay and stock options. Had they taken that 18 million and given it to the workers it would have amounted to less that 9 dollars total per worker for the whole year or about 35 cents per pay period for a full time worker. Plus without the ads sales would drop. Just simple business, if an ad campaign doesn't generate enough boost in sales to pay for the ads completely plus add profit they drop that campaign. No ads that generate sales means a drop in sales and the need for fewer workers. Darn sure isn't going to spark higher pay for the worker.
