I had two uncles that served with the 100th bomb group. One watched the other die when his plane exploded. Taking down two other planes.He made it through the war,but never talked about it. Grandma found out through a squadron mate. Told her about it. Uncle Bob lived to be 105 never flew again and would get up and leave if asked about the war.
