I have soaked fresh bacon in a prague powder cure and I add a little Liquid Smoke to the Cure. After soaking a week in the fridge I wash it off real good and then fry it. I have a book on sausage making and meat curing I'll see if I can print the page that they have on Honey Smoked Bacon which is probably my favorite. Again you can use some liquid smoke in the honey Cure and after it cures you just rinse it off then fry it to eat.
