In my 40 plus years of driving: I have seen and heard so many times where trucking companies have deceived folks into thinking the big money was in owning a truck. These shysters make their money off of selling trucks: not hauling freight. Owner operator pay today is about $0.15 more than I made in the 80s. Deregulation allows any crook to start a trucking company. (Okay, I'll shut up now and get off my "soapbox" ).
