Picking rocks I never felt right letting people sit on the bucket - adults either. Too easy to flick them off and run thrm down. I had a carry all on the back to sit on, don't see the rocks ahead of time but don't kill yourself if you fall off.
I'd say that bucket situation is pretty common tho, in farm country.
