Constant On n Off On n Off is hard on them (CFL) BUT I NEVER LIKED THEM ANYWAY due in part to fire and other potential safety hazards, and I'm sooooooooo glad LED's are coming down in price as I'm going to LED and certainly no longer going to be replacing with Fluorescent or CFL or Mercury Vapor........ Sure if I had some in a few locations where they weren't cycled all the time and energy use was minimal I might just leave them until they fail, but no way I'm going back for replacements. If others like their Incandescent or CFL that's their free choice, do as they please.
