Not to be used inverted? Then explain how a CFL flood light works. I have several over those over the bench and work area out in the shop, and 3 more mounted above my reloading bench. The lights over the reloading bench are about 3 years old now. The lights out in the shop are going on 5 plus years. Turn them on when I need them, turn them off when I'm done. Had only one burn out, and that was about 3 days after installing.
