Sometimes we get lucky, don't we!? I put a dash cluster in my '96 Pontiac Grand Am SE several years ago, was able to get a reman unit. Got a friend who ran a shop to get it, all he had to know was the VIN and the current mileage to put on the odometer. I knew at that date what the milage was, added some for my son's commuting to school and when we put the other one in, we were only 40-50 miles off! It cost me about $250 IIRC. Glad you were able to get yours fixed yourself, can't guess what a shop/dealer would've got to R&R the unit!
