I'm baling hay today,so not a holiday for me,but wasn't there just one year or so back in the mid 70s that they tried the Monday holiday thing for the 4th of July? I remember I was baling hay and a neighbor who had just moved up from Detroit stopped in the field,had a boat in the back of his pickup and one of his city friends with him. He asked me why I was working on a holiday? I told him "It's July 5th,that's not a holiday.". He said it was an official holiday. I told him the 5th of July wasn't a holiday for me.
Anybody else remember them doing that for just a year or two?
