I have a 1960's 8hp Wisconsin on my leaf collector. I have been using it for 30 years and it was using about 1 pint of oil(10w30) to 2 gallons of gas when I built it. I started putting 20w50 in it about 15 years ago and it cut the consumption about in half. I only use the blower for leaf pickup and it still starts the first time I wrap the rope around it. For as few hours as it gets used, I would run a heavier oil, keep it full and just run it.
