I'm fond of punny names for my critters.
Some favorites:
Dogless McArfer (Mac)
Gator Bait. Got him from a box of pups in South Carolina, owner claimed he'd use any leftovers to troll for gators. He was kidding. I think...
Mugly Utt. Mugly was a Chihuahua/Manchester Terrier cross. Her tail had a 90° bend right in the middle, broken during birth we think. Ugliest mutt we ever had, but my youngest daughter loved her to death.
When I had sheep, a couple of my rams sorta tickled me with their personalities and got named. One was Stud Mutton, which should be fairly obvious.
When I changed breeds from Shetlands to Katahdins, I got a new ram. He was HUGE, but he was also very calm and laid back. I re-named him Baxter. Mount Katahdin (for which the breed is named) is in Baxter State Park here in Maine.
