I'm VERY surprised that your Windows 10 software did not include Windows Media Player. You should also be able to download that for free from the Microsoft website.
That said, there's potentially one other problem, and that may be with your drive. If you have a CD/DVD drive, then everything should be good. However, there are also CD-only drives out there that will not play or record to DVD. It is also possible to have a CD read/write and DVD read-only drive, but I would think nowdays that most drives would be CD/DVD read/write.
The way to check is to click your little Start icon in the lower left corner, then select Control Panel. Once in Control Panel, look for Device Manager and click that. Now look for a line that says DVD/CD ROM Drives. Double click on that, and it will tell you what your drive is capable of.
