Motor oil won't hurt the seals, think about it for a moment, one of the seals is to prevent the engines motor oil from getting into the power steering pump.
I'd pull the pump and check the seals, I installed a set last year and accidentally put them in backwards, the seals where turned opposite of each other in this fashion [], this put the outer seal on the shafts taper for the gear and the seals lip rolled out from the pressure, the seals need to be installed in this fashion ][.
I've installed several power steering pump seals and know how they go in, but I simply made a mistake.
